Autism In Mind is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chains. Although we are a small Community Interest Company (CIC), we recognise our responsibility to take a proactive approach in addressing the risks of modern slavery.
Our Organisation
Autism In Mind is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to supporting and empowering autistic individuals to reach their full potential by fostering connections, addressing their needs, preventing crises, and advocating for positive change in the wider world. Our organisation operates with strong ethical values, ensuring that fairness, transparency, and respect for human rights are embedded in all that we do.
Our Commitment to Preventing Modern Slavery
We are committed to:
Ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our organisation or supply chains.
Raising awareness among our employees, volunteers, and partners about modern slavery risks.
Taking appropriate action if we suspect any form of modern slavery in our operations or supply chains.
Our Supply Chains
As a small CIC, our supply chains are limited, but we take reasonable steps to ensure that our suppliers and partners align with our ethical values. We expect our suppliers to adhere to fair labour practices and operate with transparency.
Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we:
Work with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical labour practices.
Conduct basic due diligence when engaging new suppliers or service providers.
Maintain open communication with our stakeholders to ensure ethical practices are upheld.
Training and Awareness
We strive to increase awareness of modern slavery by:
Educating our team members and volunteers about the risks of modern slavery and how to identify potential issues.
Encouraging staff to report any concerns regarding unethical practices.
