AIM Northumberland is an exciting new peripatetic and online post-diagnostic service for autistic adults (who do not have a learning disability) and live in Northumberland.
We are now welcoming referrals. Referrals should be made via the buttons above (please carefully read the inclusion/exclusion criteria on the forms prior to submitting your referral).
Our Connect, Support, Prevent Service includes:
Me, Myself & Autism - A 10-week self-awareness course for autistic adults, which looks at what it really means to be autistic.
Our support is available both on-line and in person.
Social Spaces - Monthly social spaces where autistic adults can chat with autistic staff who understand autistic needs.
Low-Level Preventative Support - We offer emotional support as well as practical support to support communication between clients and partnership services.
We are providing our services from Berwick Community Trust, The William Elder Building, 56-58 Castlegate, Berwick-upon-Tweed TD15 1JT
We are currently meeting people for initial appointments.
Our Me, Myself & Autism course will begin in Berwick in September (we still have a couple of spaces available for the September course, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are interested).
We are meeting people for initial appointments from Cramlington Library, Manor Walks, Forum Way, Cramlington NE23 6YB
Our Me, Myself & Autism (MMA) courses will begin in Cramlington in September. MMA courses will run from Manor Walks Community Room, which is located upstairs in the shopping centre.
In January we will be bringing our course to Hexham.
